AboutAfter a decade or so as Senior Casualty Underwriter with Zurich and then a decade or so as a Comercial Account Executive with Park Insurance Services I decided to become a freelance insurance consultant via OneClickRisk. My OneClickRisk time was great and I achieved a lot. I helped Henry Seymour develop the website content for their TradesmanSaver and Salon Gold insurance brands. I got a 2,000 word feature on using the Cloud as part of a risk management strategy published as a Sunday Telegraph feature as well as getting a number of other features published in the insurance trade press. I even found time to volunteer at the local museum to help them put together their social media strategy. Ultimately, though, the lure of "proper" insurance proved too much for me to resist and so in October 2023 I returned to broking. Doing non-transactional stuff was fantastic - and actually, during my time at Zurich I'd also been seconded to a few interesting non-transactional projects - but it feels great to be back at the sharp end. So I'm now a Commercial Account Executive with Park Insurance Services again. You'd have thought Park Insurance Services would have learned their lesson the first time around, but they welcomed me back with open arms for some reason. Maybe they think I know what I'm talking about when it comes to casualty insurance - and maybe they're right... Anyway, thanks to everyone who used my consultancy services over the years but sadly the shutters on this business are now down.
